I rent lighting, truss, LED screen, staging and generators for events in Bodrum. I do not do dry hire: my crew brings the equipment, rigs it, runs it through the event and takes it down afterwards. Sound can come from the same hand, which removes any mismatch between the stage and the room.
Lighting is built in two layers. The static layer brings out the architecture of the place: wall wash, trees and façades, warmth on the tables. The moving layer is made of moving-head fixtures and only comes in when it is needed.
The number of moving lights follows the width of the area and the depth of the stage. The colour plan follows the type of event: warm and steady at a wedding, cued and active at a concert.
Where the lights hang usually matters more than the lights themselves. Where a venue has no suitable rigging point, truss goes up: the load of the fixtures and speakers is calculated, and the legs and ballast follow from that.
Staging and podium requirements come out of the running order. A speaker, a live band, a DJ, how many people on stage at once. Height and footprint follow, and outdoors the slope of the ground is taken into account.
LED screen goes up for presentations and brand visuals at corporate events, and for stage-back visuals at concerts. Screen size follows viewing distance: a fine pixel pitch in a room watched from close, a wider pitch outdoors where the audience stands further back.
Power is the item most often forgotten at outdoor events. At villas and gardens the existing supply is usually enough; once staging, LED screen and a full lighting rig come in, it is not. A generator goes into the plan then, written as a separate line in the quote.
The stock I hold is enough to equip five large events at the same time. That means I can cover more than one production on the same night in peak season, and when a single job grows I do not have to sub-hire from another company.
On large jobs the build does not finish in one pass. Truss and staging go up first, lighting and LED screen are rigged after, and sound and lighting checks are run separately before the event. We set that schedule at the start so venue handover and rehearsal times do not collide.
The most common mistake in event lighting is lighting that tries to be seen. Constant colour changes and fast movement tire the room over a whole night and ruin the photographs.
I build lighting in two layers. A fixed atmosphere layer brings out the architecture of the venue itself. A moving layer works only during the dance section and follows the rhythm of the music. Through dinner the light stays calm, and it comes alive as the night moves on.
Send the date, the venue and how you want the night to feel. You get an answer the same day.
